1988 In a recreation ofthe Chariots of Fire race, which in 1927 saw Lord Burghley beat Harold Abrahams in a sprint around the Great Court of Trinity College, Cambridge, Sebastian Coe beat Steve Cram in a time of 45.52 seconds. In the original race Lord Burghley had won in 42.5 seconds.
